“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.

The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”

Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” Throughout the ministry of Jesus, between his stories and his dealings with individuals, the “good” people walked away without help and the “bad” people found life in Him. It isn’t that Jesus loves some people more than others; it is that some don’t know that they are “sick” and, to others, their need is more real to them. Each of us is in need of forgiveness and transformation. Do you see your need?

God so loved the world, that sent his Son to become a man, Jesus Christ, to reveal who God is, and then to die for each of us who falls short of who God is and who He created us to be. Jesus went to the cross bearing the guilt of our sin, and died in our place. He was raised from the dead to offer new life to us who are lost in our sin. Forgiveness and wholeness are the gifts God will give to you, if you simply turn to Jesus by faith. Be honest with him about who you are. Ask him to forgive you, and to begin to live within you by the Holy Spirit. Tell him, that from now on, he can have your life! You can pray a prayer like this:

“God have mercy on me a sinner; I am lost without you. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sin and rose from the dead. I turn from my sin, and ask you to forgive me. I ask you to be the Lord of my life, and I will, with your help, live for you from this day forward. In Jesus’ name, Amen”
